I must tell you that I haven’t read Gilded and Silvern before reading this book but I still wanted to explore the world created by Ms. Christina in this series and I have to say, she did a great job in the whole world building fused with Korean mythology.
Jae Hwa is in a tough (an understatement) situation when she is forced to turn her back to the people that matter to her most and become an assassin for the evil Korean god, Kud.
As I mentioned, I honestly have no idea with the events that happened to the books prior Brazen but the I was kept on track with the narration and animated description of the whole events in this book. It was full on fantasy, which didn’t surprise me but the execution is spot on!
Jae Hwa (I love her name 재화) is a character to admire. The amount of will she has is overwhelming. She’s… forsaken! Yes, that’s the word. Yet, she still won’t give up, she won’t cave in, she has a world to save and then there’s also Marc.
Brazen is honestly a book I haven’t read before, it’s one of a kind. That’s why you should pick up this book now. The whole series even! Me? I still have to read Gilded and Silvern but of course I still need to find the books. *holds seeker orb*
